Direct Group (DG), the leading insurance services business and part of the Ardonagh Group, has been awarded a three star ‘exceptional’ rating for its customer service.
DG, which is headquartered in Doncaster but has offices in London, Preston and Elland, becomes one of only 15% of UK businesses to have achieved the top three star rating, awarded by Investors In Customers (IIC).
Pam Wiggins, DG’s Head of HR, paid tribute to the Group’s 475 staff, saying: “They have been fantastic. It is thanks to them we have scored very highly across the main areas: understanding and meeting clients’ needs, delighting clients, and building loyalty.”
Pam explained the award was given after DG was assessed in January 2016, using research among customers, staff and suppliers. “The result is that we have been viewed as exceptional and our staff as experts in their field.”
She said she believed DG’s strong focus on its customers would help attract the best new talent to the business. “Our aspiration is to be the UK’s top supplier of insurance services to industry, and the best companies tend to attract the brightest new talent. Awards like this make a significant and positive difference.”
DG also won an insurance industry award for Customer Champion of the year – Broker in December 2015. Pam said: We have invested heavily in our customer facing operations and culture and it is beginning to pay off.”
